Libraries Connected update on Omicron Covid variant
Nov 29, 2021Following the Prime Minister’s statement on Friday about the new Omicron Covid variant and increased precautionary measures, Libraries Connected is working closely with DCMS to clarify how these will affect public library services.
We have now published new guidelines for libraries, based on the latest government guidance. These have been prepared based on consultation with Public Health England.
If you have any queries or observations that should inform our ongoing and future discussions with DCMS, please email them to info@librariesconnected.org.uk.

Living with Covid 19 guidance - April 2022
The government is removing domestic restrictions in England in relation to Covid 19.
Public libraries are directed to the advice published by the UK Health Security Agency: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/coronavirus-covid-19-list-of-guidance.
Libraries should continue to make risk assessments in line with their local circumstances and to consider the needs of any vulnerable staff, volunteers and users.
