Bursaries

With the support of our sponsors and partners we are pleased to be able to offer a number of bursaries to Libraries Connected events in 2026. 

Below are the details of the bursaries available and links to apply - you can apply for as many as you'd like.

 

Annual Seminar Bursaries 9 - 10 June 2026 - applications open until 30 March 2026

 

Insight Media Logo

Insight Media is a leading library technology partner in the UK for the provision of PC booking, print management, Wi-Fi printing, Wi-Fi authentication, and self-service kiosk software services.

Insight Media Bursary (1 available) - This bursary is open to any Head of Service or Senior Manager working in public libraries in England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Crown Dependencies. 

The bursary will cover:

  • A place at the two days of the seminar.
  • Accommodation and evening meals at the venue on Monday and Tuesday.
  • Up to £100 towards travel expenses.

Ulverscroft Logo

Ulverscroft is the leading provider of accessible reading, offering large print, audiobooks and the uLibrary digital platform to libraries worldwide. Supported by the charitable Ulverscroft Foundation, they champion inclusive access to reading and help libraries serve every reader regardless of their need.

Ulverscroft Bursary (2 available) - These bursaries are open to any Head of Service or Senior Manager working in public libraries in England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Crown Dependencies but priority will be given to anyone that is visually impaired: any kind of vision loss, whether total or partial.

The bursary will cover:

  • A place at the two days of the seminar.
  • Accommodation and evening meals at the venue on Monday and Tuesday.
  • Up to £100 towards travel expenses.

Libraries Connected Logo

Libraries Connected South East Bursary (1 available) - This bursary is funded by Libraries Connected's South East regional network and is open to any Head of Service or Senior Manager working in public libraries in the South East of England. The South East are particularly keen to offer this to any authority who is subject to S114 or financial restrictions that would prevent them attending unless had the option of the bursary.

The bursary will cover:

  • A place at the two days of the seminar.
  • Accommodation and evening meals at the venue on Monday and Tuesday.
  • Up to £100 towards travel expenses.

Libraries Connected Bursary (number available depends on support requested) - These bursaries are open to any Head of Service or Senior Manager working in public libraries in England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Crown Dependencies but priority will be given to people that haven't attended an annual seminar before and to those from areas that were not well represented at last year's event (Wales, North East, East Midlands and South East).

These bursaries offer members support where needed to make it possible for them to attend. A bursary can be used to support with travel, tickets and/or accommodation.
