Harlow Library is offering young adults aged 14+ the chance to rework parts of a novel in sound and visual form as part of our BBC Novels that Shaped our World partnership with libraries. Young people will be able to create soundscapes of novels led by local artists Tom Armstrong, a comic artist, and Chris Adam, a sound artist.
There will be four workshops in total – two focused on sound and two on visual. The workshops will be part of the Essex Book Festival, an annual celebration of books that in 2020 will focus on science and creativity.
Harlow is one of the most deprived areas in the UK, coming in 20th place in the Mirror ‘s recent Town 2020 study.
