Focus group 2: Apprenticeships in Public Libraries
Libraries Connected are seeking participants for a series of focus groups exploring the use of apprenticeships within public library services.
These sessions will bring together colleagues from across the sector to share experiences and perspectives on apprenticeships. The insights gathered will help shape a forthcoming sector-wide survey and inform future support for library services.
We’re keen to hear about:
- Progress since the LIS Trailblazer group’s work in 2021
- What influences decisions to use (or not use) apprenticeships
- What has worked well and what has proved challenging
- The benefits apprenticeships have brought to library services
We welcome participants with a wide range of experiences—whether apprenticeships are well established in your service, have been difficult to implement, or have not yet been taken forward.
Each session is a small, informal discussion group designed to enable open conversation and shared learning.
This session is for Heads of Service and Workforce Development Leads.
There are 6 spaces available per session.
