Focus group 3: Apprenticeships in Public Libraries

Focus group 3: Apprenticeships in Public Libraries
1 June 2026 14:00 - 15:00

Libraries Connected are seeking participants for a series of focus groups exploring the use of apprenticeships within public library services.

These sessions will bring together colleagues from across the sector to share experiences and perspectives on apprenticeships. The insights gathered will help shape a forthcoming sector-wide survey and inform future support for library services.

We’re keen to hear about:

  • Your route into an apprenticeship
  • What appealed to you (or didn’t) about apprenticeships
  • The benefits and challenges of your apprenticeship
  • Lessons learned and what could be improved for future apprentices

This session is for current or former apprentices in public libraries.

Each session is a small, informal discussion group designed to enable open conversation and shared learning.

There are 6 spaces available per session.
