Innovation Gathering 2025

thestudio..., 7 Cannon St, Birmingham B2 5EP, UK
The Innovation Gathering is an annual event which brings public library staff together from across the UK to showcase their innovative work, create new connections and think collectively about how to improve services.
The programme has been developed with a team of library staff who have selected topics that are of interest and relevant to people working in libraries. It will feature guest speakers Dr Mia Ridge, Digital Curator at The British Library, talking about responsible innovation with AI and machine learning in libraries, and Emma Karin Eriksson, Manager of Youth Civic Engagement and Creative Expression at Brooklyn Public Library, talking about Books Unbanned. We’ll also have quickfire speed talks from library staff showcasing a wide variety of projects, from makerspaces to a poetry bus to open access libraries, followed by themed networking discussions.
The event is aimed at library staff in development and middle management roles but is open to anyone working in our member public libraries. It is a great opportunity to widen your professional network, share ideas, learn from others and be inspired.
Ticket cost £60.00 (incl. VAT) per person. There is an option to pay by card now or by invoice in this or the next financial year.
