The Innovation Gathering is an annual event which brings public library staff together from across the UK to showcase their innovative work, create new connections and think collectively about how to improve services.

The programme has been developed with a team of library staff who have selected topics that are of interest and relevant to people working in libraries. It will feature guest speakers Sofia Akel, founder of the Free Books Campaign, talking about the campaign and their outreach work, and Ida Blixt Teige, Leader Tøyen Libraries in Oslo, talking about Deichman Biblo Tøyen, the world's first library only open to 10 to 15 year olds. We’ll also have quickfire speed talks from library staff showcasing a wide variety of projects, from supporting neurodiverse families to resettlement partnership working and a storytelling festival, followed by themed networking discussions.

The event is aimed at library staff in development and middle management roles but is open to anyone working in our member public libraries. It is a great opportunity to widen your professional network, share ideas, learn from others and be inspired.

Ticket cost £72.00 (incl. VAT) per person.
