Webinar: Engaging with new Councillors

The recent local government elections have led to a major turnover in council seats, with many new councillors, and a new political party in control of some councils.
Join us to explore what the changes may mean for library services, and to share ideas on how to effectively engage with new councillors.
We will be joined in the first part of the meeting by Sheila Bennett from DCMS, who will reflect on the critical points to emphasise to new administrations about the council’s statutory duties, including physical access points, provision of book stock and meeting diverse needs.
The remainder of the meeting will be “open mic” format, for you to share your experiences and insights and to identify any questions you may want Libraries Connected to respond to.
Please note, this event is for Heads of Service or their nominated representative only, and will not be recorded.
