Following on from the previous Engaging New Local Councillors webinar held in May soon after elections, this follow-up session will look at how things have progressed in the subsequent months.

The local government elections led to a major turnover in council seats, with many new councillors, and a new political party in control of some councils.

We will be joined in the first part of the meeting by Sheila Bennett from DCMS and Ian Leete from the LGA.

The remainder of the meeting will be “open mic” format, for you to share your experiences and insights and to identify any questions you may want Libraries Connected to respond to.
