Webinar: Legal and ethical considerations surrounding censorship in public libraries

Webinar: Legal and ethical considerations surrounding censorship in public libraries
23 February 2026 13:00 - 14:00

This webinar will provide an introduction to the legal and ethical considerations surrounding censorship in public libraries. Taking from our recent guidance, it will look through statutory duties, case law, human rights implications, and practical frameworks to support lawful and inclusive decision-making for libraries in England and Wales.

This is a confidential webinar for Heads of Service and their nominated reps only, so we will have time for discussion and to ask questions. Please email emma.daniel@librariesconnected.org.uk if you are a representative and unable to book onto the webinar.

Please note this webinar will not be recorded.
