Libraries Connected Event Terms and Conditions
About Us
Libraries Connected is an independent charity that supports, promotes and represents public libraries. Our work is driven and led by our membership, which includes almost every library service in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Crown Dependencies (Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man).
Event Bookings
A booking is confirmed once a confirmation email has been sent by Libraries Connected to the attendee and/or person placing the booking – this may be sent via a third party (such as ticket tailor) if an external booking system is being used.
For online events, all the required delegate information, including full name, email address etc. must be provided no later than 48 hours before the event. Changes to delegate details made later than this may result in joining links not being sent to the correct person.
For physical events, all the required delegate information, including full name, email address, dietary and access requirements etc. must be provided no later than 14 days before the event. Changes to delegate details made later than this may not be reflected in attendance and rooming lists, accessibility or catering provisions.
Payments
Payments will usually be requested by invoice. Invoices should be paid within 30 days of being issued. If Libraries Connected are required to include a PO number, it should be sent to events@librariesconnected.org.uk or finance@librariesconnected.org.uk, no later than 7 days before the event.
Occasionally there may be an option to pay online via bank card, when this facility is selected payment must be made at the point of booking.
Changes and Cancellations
To cancel a booking, you must give written notice by email to events@librariesconnected.org.uk.
You will be liable for charges for the full value of the booking and the level of charge to be applied will depend on the amount of notice you give us, calculated from the table below:

You may transfer your booking to a colleague within your organisation at any point. You must give us written notice of any changes by email to events@librariesconnected.org.uk.
We reserve the right to change the venue, online platform or the content of our training, events and conferences at any time.
In the event of Libraries Connected having to reschedule or cancel a training course, event or conference, our liability arising out of such cancellation will be restricted to repayment of the booking fee only.
