Education committee launches reading for pleasure inquiry - complete our survey
The education committee in the UK Parliament has launched a new inquiry into reading for pleasure. It covers a broad range of topics but for libraries it includes two key questions:
- How have changes in the number of local libraries and library opening hours impacted on children and young people's access to books outside school?
- How effective has the Summer Reading Challenge been and what steps can be taken to further increase take up?
We will be submitting a formal response on behalf of public libraries, so we're really keen to hear your views. Your responses will inform our evidence and ensure it reflects your experience and expertise.
