The President of Libraries Connected is a high‑profile ambassador for the sector - representing Heads of Service nationally and championing the value of public libraries. Directly elected by our membership, the President acts as a trusted sector advocate while offering insight and leadership at a national level.

This is a rare opportunity for an inspiring, collaborative leader with strong public library experience who wants to influence national conversations, build partnerships and amplify the collective voice of our members.

Join us as a Trustee

We are also recruiting new Trustees who can bring fresh insight, diverse expertise and strategic leadership to our Board. Trustees oversee our governance, guide our long-term direction and support high‑level advocacy across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Crown Dependencies.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including those new to trusteeship. Following our recent skills audit, we are particularly seeking candidates with experience in finance, commercial planning, fundraising, policy influencing, legal expertise, data protection or environmental sustainability.
