Lords media literacy report recognises crucial role of libraries
The UK House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee has published a new report on media literacy. The report warns that a failure to prioritise media literacy in the UK presents a "risk to social cohesion and democracy".
We're pleased to see our written evidence cited throughout and the recognition that libraries have a crucial role in developing media literacy. We support the recommendation that government should invest in libraries, and the library workforce, to deliver this aim.
