Share your holiday reads
As part of the National Year of Reading, we're inviting library workers and volunteers to share their favourite books to read on holiday.
Holiday reading plays an important role in helping people build or rebuild a reading habit. The right book can be the starting point for reading more regularly, and for rediscovering the enjoyment of reading during time away.
As reading experts working in communities across the country, library staff and volunteers have a unique perspective on the titles that connect with readers and keep them coming back.
It could be a murder mystery set on a paradise island, a compelling holiday romance, or a science fiction classic that carries you from your deckchair into another world entirely.
We'll publish the results at the start of the school summer holidays as a shared set of recommendations from librarians - the reading for pleasure experts.
The survey takes a few minutes and closes at 5pm on Friday 10 July.
The survey is open to library workers and volunteers only. By taking part, you agree to your recommendation, name and library service being shared in publicity around the results.
