Apprenticeship Network webinar
Libraries Connected has created a network for public library staff with responsibility for apprenticeships and other training schemes in England.
This webinar will explore how to give your apprentices the best possible experience and support, including supervision and mentoring, what to do when things go wrong, the projects apprentices can do, and the evidence needed to complete a successful apprenticeship.
The purpose of the network is to support the creation of sector-wide opportunities for library apprenticeships and other trainee schemes by:
- Promoting apprenticeships to the public library sector.
- Sharing and showcasing best practice and success in recruitment, management and development.
- Shaping resources and guidance including documentation, webinars, case studies and templates
During the webinar we will hear from Kath Griffiths, Locality Manager, Norfolk Library & Information Service and Krystal Vittles, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Suffolk Libraries. They will share their experiences and tips. They will answer questions from webinar participants, and these will inform the guidance we are developing around apprenticeships.
The network is for public library staff who manage, supervise or mentor apprentices and trainees.
