Expert Bank Webinars

Monday, 8 March, 2021 - 11:00

Over the past 12 months Haringey, Worcestershire and Leicestershire Libraries have tested out the potential for offering library services the chance to draw on support from an 'expert bank'. Each library service has worked with a specialist on a project which has focused on one of these three themes; Advocacy and evidence, Transformation: service review and design, Transformation: partnerships.

This series of free webinars, aimed at people working in public libraries, will provide information about the projects, how the library services have worked with their consultants, and how they intend to use the plans and toolkits they have developed.

  • Partnership and Community Working - Tuesday 23 February 10.00 – 11.00
In this webinar you will discover how Haringey Libraries worked with Katie Pekacar of Independent Mind to develop the toolkit, and how they plan to use it to develop relationships and community working.
  • Communication and Engagement Planning - Tuesday 2 March 11.30 – 12.30
In this webinar you will find out more about how Worcestershire Libraries worked with Heidi Bellamy of Culture First to develop a communications and engagement plan and how they plan to use this to re-position the library service, build stronger partnerships and make the case for the role of libraries in delivering council and community services.
  • Measuring Evidence and Impact - Monday 8 March 11.00 – 12.00
In this webinar you will hear how Leicestershire Libraries worked with Kevin Bolton of Kevinjbolton Ltd to develop an evaluation plan and toolkit, and how they plan to use this to gather evidence and demonstrate the contribution of the library service.

This project was part of a programme to test out the potential for offering library services the chance to draw on support from an 'expert bank', one of the initiatives that Libraries Connected is testing as part of their Regional Support Offer.
