On 3rd April 2019 Leeds Central Library hosted the annual Libraries Connected Innovation Gathering. The event was attended by over 45 library workers from across the UK who enjoyed hearing about and sharing innovative library practice and projects. Topics included tablet lending schemes, recycled robots, supporting games and self-access libraries.

Those attending also heard from Lotta Muurinen, Project Manager of International Tasks in Helsinki City Library, Finland about the innovation that went into creating the fabulous Oodi library, and Adel Al-Salloum, Director of The Spark Arts for Children who talked about two theatre initiatives developed in partnership with library services in the East Midlands.
