Knowledge sharing for Know Your Neighbourhood
Thursday, 28 September, 2023 - 09:00 to 12:00
We hosted an online Knowledge Sharing Event for the Know Your Neighbourhood Project on Thursday 28 September. This was a showcase of projects that are underway, as well as a look at some of the barriers or challenges that have been identified.
At this event, some of the projects that have been funded by the DCMS Know Your Neighbourhood Fund discussed their initiatives and any lessons learned. Additionally, we welcomed:
- Laura Lowther from NCVO who will talk about motivations and barriers to volunteering, ensuring the quality of volunteers' experiences and the impact of volunteering,
- Anthony Gonzalez from Tyne & Wear Museums will provide a training session on supporting volunteering,
- David Barclay from the Good Faith Partnership who will offer valuable insight on loneliness.
This event was held on Zoom. The recording is in two parts, both of which can now be watched back in full on our YouTube channel.
