Through the Information and Digital Offer libraries provide quality information and digital support. 

Libraries enable individuals and communities to develop learning skills to find answers and to inform life choices.

The offer helps children and adults to engage and feel safe online. It ensures resources and opportunities are accessible and it embraces creative and innovative technology.

Our information at home guide lists some of the many resources available to people to help them through the Covid-19 crisis. Here is a selection of some of the most useful guides:

  • Newsguard: The NewsGuard browser extension and mobile app that rates news sites are now free until 1 July 2020. .During this time they’re be keeping track of misinformation about the coronavirus in their Coronavirus Misinformation Tracking Center

  • Health Education England: Trusted, accessible online patient information resources on Covid-19 for people who work directly with the patients, clients, and families.

  • Citizens Advice Bureau: For consumer and legal advice, including information on furloughing, housing, benefits and more.

  • Coronavirus advice from Which?: Including advice on travel and event refunds, scam emails and protecting your finances.

  • Government guidance: Official advice including financial and employment support; travel guidelines; statistics on cases and more.
