The Librarians’ Toolkit – A day of Talks and Workshops on Books & Well-Being

Monday, 26 November, 2018 - 10:00 to 15:30

Bookings for The Librarians’ Toolkit are now open at https://bit.ly/2Dz59LT

Join library managers and front-line staff for an inspiring day about how books and reading can support well-being in public libraries. Guest speakers include novelist Salley Vickers, Libraries Connected Chief Executive Isobel Hunter and the Emergency Poet, Deborah Alma. The day also includes workshops on practical ways of improving your library’s well-being services and a chance to network informally with people making change happen. The Librarians’ Toolkit will take place in The Hive, the inspiring library run jointly by Worcester University & Worcester Library Services and close to Worcester’s railway stations. The cost of attending includes a buffet lunch.

The booking form allows individuals to reserve places and to state how an invoice should be submitted and/or how to request a purchase order. A Debit Card payment facility will be provided shortly and those paying in this way will still be able to reserve a place now.

Forty places have been set aside for staff of West Midlands Public Library Authorities with the rest being available for individuals in the region and for library staff and others from beyond the region, both nationally and internationally.
